Interference of light
Interference:-
When light waves of same amplitude and same frequency travel in the same medium in one direction. So the intensity of the resultant light wave at the points of the medium by their superposition is different from the sum of the intensities of the individual waves. At some points the intensity of light is maximum and at some points the intensity of light is minimum or zero.
Constructive interference:-
The points in the medium at which the intensity of light is maximum. The interference there is called constructive interference.
Destructive interference:-
The points of the medium at which the intensity of light is minimum or zero. The interference there is called destructive interference.
